MAEGWEN SALLEY-MASSIE is the author of The Emerald Queen Rises, along with The Mammoth Awakens and its forthcoming sequels. She grew up in the Pee Dee Low Country of South Carolina with her loving parents and sister. Her childhood was spent mainly outdoors building forts, riding horses, playing capture the flag, riding ATVs, and playing volleyball.
