November 16, 2019 marks the appearance of the first case of the new coronavirus in China, more precisely in the city of Wuhan. However, it was on March 04, 2020, after the detection of the first case of Covid-19, that Cameroon's high authorities decided to take national measures and apply the international prescriptions for combating this virus in the country. Declared a pandemic on January 30, 2020 by the WHO, Covid-19 has reshaped behaviors and actions, and raises the question of whether its appearance has influenced the economic sector. In an economic and public policy analysis, the author delves back into this period to highlight the economic peculiarities identified during the management of Covid-19 in Douala 3e, showing the induced effects and some solutions to be adopted for the efficiency of the Cameroon health system.
