Rika Mansingh, RD B.Sc.Dietetics(UNP), PG.Dip.Diet(UKZN), DCEP(CA), is a Registered Dietitian in BC. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics Degree (2002) and Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics (2003) at the University of Natal in South Africa. She has also completed a comprehensive internship and community service program in South Africa and pursued her career as both a clinical dietitian at various hospitals and as a consultant dietitian in private practice. Rika moved to Canada in 2008 and completed further studies in Dietetics (DCEP) and her internship in British Columbia, Canada. She obtained her full registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and is a proud member of Dietitians of Canada. Rika is currently working as a consultant dietitian in private practice, a clinical dietitian in long term care and as a media dietitian. She offers individual/group nutrition counseling sessions to clients with food related illness and those interested in health promotion and disease prevention. Rika has over 16 years of experience in the dietetic profession and has written articles for newspapers in Canada as well as magazines, newspapers, newsletters and been broadcast on radio shows and satellite TV in South Africa. Rika has conducted Nutrition Store Tours at numerous locations in the Fraser Valley and is involved in nutrition events, currently focusing on the critical link between diet and the mind. Rika has always displayed a sound interest in nutrition and the affects of nutritional practices on health and well being and is committed to supporting, educating and motivating clients to achieve their nutrition goals for improved overall health.
