THE EMPTY CHAIR is a timely novel that brings to light the deep psychological consequences on families when democracy collapses. Having fled a repressive dictatorship during Argentina's Dirty War, Yelin deeply understands the subject. The novel is both a call to action and a warning to those who would ignore injustice.
