Mathy D. Mezey, R.N., Ph.D. has been the Independence Foundation Professor of Nursing Education at New York University since 1991, and the director of the John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for the Advancement of Geriatric Nursing Practice since 1996. The author of five books and over fifty publications, Dr. Mezey was previously a professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Teaching Nursing Home Program.
