The emergency service is based on a curative perspective, whose mission is to provide health care directed to urgent situations and medical emergencies. However, it is increasingly faced with people who are in end-of-life processes, requiring health professionals to change their philosophy of care and be receptive to change/innovation of clinical practices.In fact, responding to the multiple demands of the end-of-life person and family in the emergency department transcends logic and rationalism, the solution is found in palliative care, whose goal is to offer active and organized care.
