Gary McMahon is the author of the novels Rain Dogs, Hungry Hearts, Pretty Little Dead Things, Dead Bad Things, the Concrete Grove trilogy, The Bones of You and The End. His short fiction is collected in several volumes including Dirty Prayers, How to Make Monsters, Tales of the Weak & the Wounded, Where You Live and At Home in the Shadows. His award-nominated fiction has been reprinted in various "Year's Best" anthologies and he has been nominated several times, as both writer and editor, for the British Fantasy Award. He lives in Yorkshire with his wife and son, and when he isn't writing he practices Shotokan karate.
