Dr. Avelino Núñez-Delgado works on diffuse pollution, biomarkers of water pollution, recycling of waste and by-products, their mixtures, composting, inactivation of pathogens and chemical contaminants, etc. In the last three years, his team has published more than 100 papers in top journals, as well as books, book chapters. He serves as Associate and Managing Guest Editor for various Q1 research journals and as series editors of several book series for Springer. Dr. Esperanza Álvarez-Rodríguez focus on environmental problems associated with aluminium toxicity, restoration of mine dumps as well as contamination by F, As, heavy metals and antibiotics. In the last decade he studied different wastes as bioadsorbents for heavy metals and antibiotics. He has authored more than 250 publications, more than 130 of them in JCR journals, and he has acted as Guest Editor for research journals. Dr. David Fernández-Calviño's research interests focus on the impacts of agriculture on soil biodiversity, soil pollution chemical processes and impacts of soil pollution on soil microbiology. He has published more than 100 papers in JCR journals, most of them Q1.  He is a frequent reviewer for JCR journals and participates in the editorial boards of some of the top research journals, as well as in special issues. He has also participated in several international research projects.
