The book is primarily intended as a reference materials for soil and water conservation courses offered to students in tertiary institutions and especially for National Diploma (ND) students in Polytechnics.Though written as text material for Soil and Water Conservation course in the National Diploma Agricultural and Bio Environmental Engineering Curriculum, the book is informative to field practioners and general reading.

Engr Sani Isa Abubakar a Principal Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Taraba State Nigeria. He teaches Soil and Water Conservation and Principle of Irrigation and Drainage courses for 11 years. He holds B. Eng. Agricultural Engineering (1995), M. Eng. Soil and Water Engineering (2007). He has presented several papers at seminars/conferences
