International terrorism remains a major challenge to global security and governments worldwide. Since the very beginning, governments tried to find suitable and successful strategies and measures to fight terrorism. After many decades of trial & error, successful political appeasement and increased research on this topic, a clear and unified approach is not only out of sight, but even unrealistic. A comprehensive approach of various actors could address the issues of terrorism in a promising way. Embedded in a thorough theoretical framework, this book presents the main CT actors of the EU, their tasks & responsibilities. The EU needs to rethink is strategy and is organisational set-up in CT issues, because a strategy, that cannot be put into action is pointless.
