The foreign investment has a decisive role in economic growth and development. The beneficial effect of training and their multiplication is recognized and treated. This can be insured but only in a proper investment climate, policies and reforms based on transparent, consistent and competitive in attracting foreign capital.Whereas in recent decades, among the world ensued a fierce competition on creating the most favorable conditions for attracting FDI, international experience shows that improving the investment climate is the main condition for attracting foreign investors. The aim of this book is to present the developments in the European Union of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), in the economic context and to make a contribution for foreign capital to developing countries, and particularly countries neighbors in Central and South Eastern Europe. The FDI is an important element of economic development of any country and its functioning market economy principles. They have great importance for strengthening the economy of countries in transition and integration of this category of countries in the global economy.
