Renowned for his Chronicles of Barsetshire series and the Palliser novels, Anthony Trollope was a prolific and renowned English novelist. Trollope was born into a middle-class household, but his early years were characterized by chaotic family dynamics and financial hardships. In spite of these obstacles, he succeeded in his career as a civil servant in the British Post Office, where he spent more than thirty years. Published in 1847, Trollope's debut book, "The Macdermots of Ballycloran," marked the beginning of his writing career. He proceeded to produce travelogues, non-fiction books, short stories, and 47 novels during his lifetime. The richly detailed portrayal of Victorian life, the astute observation of human nature, and the examination of contemporary moral and social issues define Trollope's writing.
