Adou Marcel AKA é professor de História da Grécia Antiga, nomeadamente das economias e sociedades das épocas clássica e helenística, e autor de vários artigos e livros. É membro associado do Instituto Ausonius de Bordeaux Montaigne e trabalha actualmente na Universidade Jean Lorougnon Guédé em Daloa (Costa do Marfim).
