The aim of this book is to review the evolution of the motor and somatosensory cortex in mammals. It begins with a description of the sensory and motor areas present in various species and their respective anatomical and physiological characterisations. Die Forscherin Renata Anomal ist Professorin in der Abteilung für Morphologie der UFRN. Sie hat einen Master und einen Doktortitel in Physiologie vom Institut für Biophysik Carlos Chagas Filho der UFRJ. Sie schloss ihre Sandwich-Promotion an der University of California, San Francisco, auf dem Gebiet der Neuroplastizität und der sensorischen Systeme ab. Sie hat ein Postdoc-Diplom in Neurowissenschaften.
