Autorenporträt
Roland de Vaux OP (1904-1971) machte erste Ausgrabungen in Qumran und war der erste Direktor der Veröffentlichungen der Handschriften vom Toten Meer. Über 20 Jahre lang leitete er als Direktor die École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem.
Jean-Baptiste Humbert OP und Alain Chambon sind Archäologen an der École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem.
Stephen J. Pfann ist Mitglied des Internationalen Editionstemas der Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer und Gründer des Center for the Study of Early Christianity in Jerusalem.
