Their novels, Brazzaville Beach, Restless, The Pure Gold Baby, The Sea Lady, Fraud and Hôtel du Lac, in which the woman is at the center of everything, appear as mirrors of current societies. Indeed, this article analyzes the experiences of the main female characters in their stories, which bear the mark of the major concerns and anxieties of women of their time.
