Ms. Clarisse C. Frazier is a native of the great state of Louisiana where she was born and raised. Ms. Frazier has lived in Alexandria, Shreveport, Lafayette, New Orleans and Baton Rouge where she learned developed a love of literature from a young age. Winning literary contests as far back at 1989, Ms. Frazier has always possessed a flair for creative writing As a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she graduated as the youngest, African-American female with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in the spring of 2002, she remains passionate about all literature, including her own. Upon the confirmation of her undergraduate degree, Ms. Frazier moved to Atlanta, Georgia to begin her professional career. During her time in Atlanta, she gave birth to her daughter, Casey Camille in February of 2005. As a young mother, Ms. Frazier began her quest for a better life and joined the field of Education to establish a career. Ms. Frazier earned her Masters of Education degree from Mercer University in 2008 and went on this complete her Educational Specialist degree in 2010. Clarisse currently serves as the English Content Leader for her charter school and continues to promote reading and writing in the upcoming generation. Ms. Frazier is a published author, owns her own dessert catering business and teaches indoor cycling four days a week in an effort to improve the health and wellness of her community. She is involved in the community as a public servant as well as her local church. Ms. Frazier has three sisters, Angela, Michelle and Sierra and is the youngest daughter of Clarence Frazier, Jr. and the late Ellen Marie Shields-Frazier. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and one of the founders of the Georgia Steppers League in Atlanta, GA. Ms. Frazier has coached the CGMS Step Team, GSL Gems and the Georgia Stars step team programs impacting the lives of hundreds of young ladies. Clarisse believes that words are but a glimpse of one's soul and hopes the world will see her more clearly through each page.
