Autorenporträt
About AuthorMy name is David Faber. I worked as a builder and contractor for most of my career in two states in the US. New York and Hawaii. During my years of working, I studied a variety of subjects in depth. This included religion, history, and, my favorite, Earth Science. After retiring in Hawaii I got my dream job as an Earth Science interpretation Park Ranger at Hawaii Volcanos National Park. For 4 years I greeted, entertained, and educated visitors about Hawaii's volcanos through my favorite pastime of telling stories.I felt that my love of storytelling should be put into book form someday. The book I have written is my first one fulfilling that dream. I combined my love of history, adventure, and earth science to spin this first tale which I hope to make into a series. After leaving Hawaii I moved to the UK where I now live full-time. While here I made a point to travel to places I knew I wanted to include in my book. I have visited most of the places in the story, both here in the UK and in Hawaii because I feel it is important to give my readers as close to a real experience as I can.Writing this book, I did not want it to be a typical fantasy that takes place in made-up worlds. I wanted it to take place in real places around real events and real history. I did a lot of research to ensure that it was as close to real as possible where history is involved. My goal was to blur the lines between the real world and the one my characters live in.Even though my story is a modern weaving of the Arthurian legends, they still hold sway in our modern world of storytelling.
