Ever since the author penned her first poem in third grade and received special recognition, she has enjoyed expressing herself through the written word. Her writing encompasses children's picture books and inspirational books, to researching and writing a weekly newspaper Op-Ed column for ten years. Ms. Reid, who considers herself a late-bloomer and life-long learner, accepted Christ as her Savior at age 40, received her undergraduate degree with emphasis in Media/Public Relations at age 50, published her first book at age 55 and completed her M.S. Education at age 60. She encourages others by assuring them "you are never too old to achieve your goals." Although now retired, she continues to use her skills writing feature stories for a local newspaper.
