Organic Agriculture, is an imaging field of Economics, Politics and Religion. To some it should be followed to the later while others it is means to make the money and to others it has became a new political ground where, the beauty and the agree crash. This piece of work strives to uncover the reasons why farmers in Chongwe adopt, or not adopt and in some cases adopt and later dis-adopt organic farming. The research takes a global view, the historic perspective and brings it to the contextual reality. The results of the paper are about the reality of the common farmer in a rural set up in Zambia and their daily struggles which informs their decisions on what to do. The conclusion while not global have meaning to a wider context in the field of organic farming.
