Marvin L. Bittinger, Ph.D., Purdue University, has been teaching, writing and speaking for over 40 years. Since receiving his doctorate in 1968, he has been at Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis, where he is now Honorary Professor Emeritus of Mathematics Education. He is one of Pearson Education's top-selling textbook authors, having sold over 13 million copies of his college mathematics textbooks in over 215 books and editions. When not writing Marv enjoys hiking in Utah, baseball, softball and special time with his family.
