The Family Eremaeozetidae (Acari:Oribatidae), genus Rogerzetes, Afrotropical Region

Proposal a news genus Provoliszetes

Beschreibung

Six new species of Eremaeozetidae, of the genus Rogerzetes are described; four from the Republic of Madagascar: Rogerzetes elegans sp.nov. from Anajavidilava. Pic Body; Rogerzetes tsiafajovona sp.nov. from Ankaratra station, Tsiafajavona; Rogerzetes theroni sp.nov. from Marojezy massive, Madagascar North and Rogerzetes idiaterosi sp.nov from Ambatofitorahana forest, Madagascar Center. Two from Republic of Gabon: Rogerzetes gabonensis sp.nov and Rogerzetes makokouensis n. sp from, Makokou, North-eastern Ogoové-Ivindo Province. Complementary descriptions are given of two species from Argentina: E. araucana and Eremaozetes chancani, with a new record. Provolistes gen.nov. is proposed, with the type species P. chancani (Fernandez & Cleva, 2000). The genus Rogerzetes is redefined and a keys of species is provided. A basic discussion on sensory structures on the genera of Eremaeozetidae, is made. A synthesis of the biogeography of species of the genera Eremaeozetes, Idiozetes, Mahunkaia and Rogerzetes genera, in the Afrotropical Region is added.
