Shirley Laplanche, born in New Zealand, is a passionate traveller, environmentalist and lover of life. After travelling the world for several years she landed in Australia to become an editor at The Australian newspaper and a contributing writer for The Bulletin and the Australian Tourist Commission (now Tourism Australia).
