Christianity has continued to grow in Nigeria and in different parts of Africa. The churches are growing but there is no much effort on how to raise a new generation of leaders. The development of the young generation is the only thing that can guarantee continuity. The role of mentoring in leadership development cannot be overemphasized. Unfortunately today, many youths in Africa are fatherless, as they do not have the guidance, direction and encourage of those ahead of them. This book examines the present situation of leadership development in different churches. We compare the assessment of the pastors with that of the young leaders on how mentoring is done and noticed that they significantly differ in definition and process and results. Consequently recommend vital elements of a successful mentoring program for churches specifically in Nigeria, and generally in Africa. It the kingdom responsibility of mentors to rise up and become fathers to these numerous African young leaders who have remain fatherless. This is the right time to arise. The book ends with key suggestions for developing enduring mentoring program in churches in Africa.
