The work analyzes the representations present in photographic portraits of military personnel and civilians, which compose a German family album and refer to different moments of the First World War (1914-1918). The portraits are approached as documents and monuments, in order to evidence changes in the perception of the conflict, in view of the registration of different poses and expressions of feelings of those portrayed.
