The 5 Whys Method: In these challenging times, it's easy to feel stuck, repeating the same actions and getting the same results. But with my new workbook, you can break free from those old patterns and navigate the complexities of today's world with confidence and clarity. In "The 5 Whys Method," I share how to think from the heart and embrace a different way of living. I let you in on how to master your life, rather than to 'manage' your life. Let go of your old convictions and belief systems that no longer serve you and discover the liberation that comes with brutal honesty and self-reflection. This method, inspired by the 5 times 'Why' question, is your razor-sharp instrument for questioning, reasoning, and answering life's challenges. Learn to be unconditionally honest with yourself and others. Uncover and clear the way to ask better questions and evaluate answers given. Achieve personal growth and wisdom - five times wiser! "The 5 Whys Method" will guide you through personal and professional challenges, helping you navigate these challenging times. Carlo Strijk, known for hosting human interest shows on Dutch TV, has a rich background as an HR director, management trainer, and life coach. After a cerebral infarction in 2007, he developed a universal self-reflection method to connect with your true self and clear away external influences. Carlo Strijk (1966-) studied labor market policy and personnel management. He continued his educational path with post-HBO (higher professional education) training in coaching and counseling, as well as in training and development. Strijk began his professional career in the staffing industry at Content Uitzendbureau BV. During and after this period, he taught for several years as a lecturer in social security legislation at the Foundation for Professional Training in the Staffing Industry (SBU). Strijk continued his career at Hilton International as HR manager and regional director of training and development (MT member). After the first year, he became responsible for the design and implementation of training and management development for Amsterdam, Schiphol, and Rotterdam Hilton. Subsequently, Strijk provided training to management teams in various Hilton hotels, both nationally and internationally. Strijk's entrepreneurial spirit is evident in the bold turn he gave to his career. He successfully hosted human-interest programs such as Hartendieven, Wijsneuzen, and Voor de Verandering for RTL, TV10, TROS, and Kindernet. In addition to his presenting work, he has always remained active as a trainer, consultant, and coach for companies, including John de Mol Productions, ID-TV, and Kindernet. Strijk was co-responsible for "Meer Kleur in De Media" ("More Diversity in the Media"), a widely supported recruitment and selection covenant of broadcasting companies. Furthermore, Strijk is the creator of the Multicultural Masterclasses, aimed at promoting diverse talent within the media. Since his youth, Strijk has been politically active. He established a chapter for the youth section of D66 (Young Democrats) and served as chairman of the 't Gooi chapter. Strijk served on several committees, including those for education, healthcare, and integration. Ultimately, he was elected as a member of the National Board for D66. In 2018, Strijk founded the Foundation Meer Kleur in de Politiek & Media (More Diversity in Politics & Media). In 2007, Strijk experienced a sudden crash due to a severe cerebrovascular accident (stroke). As a result of this turn, he delved into life questions and spirituality after intensive rehabilitation. Strijk wrote a book about it: Vals Verlangen (False Desire), a ten-step coaching method that serves as a basis for using your greatest talent in life. Driven by his ambition, Strijk graduated from the post-HBO program Coachen met Hart en Ziel (Coaching with Heart and Soul) in 2009. He then completed a post-HBO specialization year in child and youth therapy. In addition, he underwent a Train the Trainer and Train the Coach program in the field of Mindfulness, Meditation, Life Mission, and Career Issues. Strijk also served as vice chairman of the Client Council of READE Rehabilitation and the Jan van Breemen Institute for Rheumatology in Amsterdam. For eighteen years, Strijk has been the owner of the training and coaching agency Strijk en Zet BV. Here, he trains and coaches managers and executives in the areas of leadership, presentation, communication, and personal effectiveness, combined with spiritual and conscious growth. In total, Strijk has over twenty-three years of experience as a trainer, coach, and advisor. Strijk was elected as one of the top 3 trainers of 2020-2021 by NOBTRA. Strijk also developed as an opinion writer; several of his pieces were published in newspapers, including NRC, Volkskrant, Parool, and Trouw. In January 2020, his coaching book De 5 Whys Methode (The 5 Whys Method) was released; due to its great success, this book has since been translated into English.
