Rebecca Wait wurde 1988 geboren und schloss 2010 ihr Englischstudium an der Oxford Universität mit Bestnote ab. Dort wurde sie vom Lyriker und Romanautor Craig Raine unterrichtet, wobei sie schon von Kindheit an schreibt, und zahlreiche Preise für ihre Kurzgeschichten und Theaterstücke gewonnen hat.
