Using as theoretical reference the theories of Capital, Habitus, Field and Sports Field, developed by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, this work makes an analysis of descriptive-analytical nature with a historical-social focus. Such analysis includes a specific case that occurred in the Brazilian sports scenario: the construction of the Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo - the Morumbi. Based on the theory of Sports Field and Field, the author defines Brazilian football as a social space of sports practice, marking São Paulo Futebol Clube as a sports agent of this field. The construction of this work erected by this character of the Brazilian football scenario was interpreted through the theories of Capital and Habitus.
