Shiarnice Taylor better known as spoken word poet Lyric The Poet was born in Houston TX, and begin performing poetry at the age of 7 years old at a Youth Center in Houston TX. Upon attending college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville TX she began performing poetry on Sam Houston slam poetry team. Shiarnice Taylor writes from personal experience, life lessons and spiritual perspectives. She is an author of one other poetry book entitled The Released.
