Long held secrets of a retired FBI agent are compromised by Alzheimer's. Will past adversaries silence him before it's too late? The world has become a very confusing place for David DeRieux. For over five decades, the retired Special Agent and his partner Bert Ashton kept their families safe by keeping the startling secrets of their Cold War, counter-espionage days quiet. But time has passed, Bert has died, and Alzheimer's is now blurring David's memories of the past with the realities of the present. In moments of stress, David has become prone to saying unusual things; things that cause those around him to be concerned and to wonder at the cause of his visible distress and confounding statements. Such unguarded talk is dangerous for a man who holds many secrets in a world in which powerful men-or at least one powerful man-still need those secrets to be kept.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Jack Huguelet was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Except for the four years spent at Northwestern University, where he received a BA in Economics, Jack has lived his entire life in the Chattanooga area and surrounding mountains. Jack also has an MBA from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a concentration in both Marketing and Finance. Jack's father was an attorney and an FBI Agent during WWII and the Cold War years that followed. Late in life, retired Special Agent Huguelet developed Alzheimer's. Although he never revealed any secrets from his FBI days and work in counter-espionage, he was the inspiration for this novel. While Jack has traveled many parts of the world - North America, Europe, and Asia - there is no place that he would rather be than in the gentle mountains and forests of East Tennessee, where he currently lives with his wife, a pair of Golden Retrievers, and a cat. Jack invites you to visit him at www.HugueletPress.com.
