My mother did not guide my siblings and me, by the wisdom of God; only by what she thought was best for us. Yet, when others look at her picture, and to them, it says only a thousand words or less, or perhaps, no words at all; I see a legacy that her picture cannot portray. My mother brought up her children in her own understanding, and whether the decisions she had made was best, right, or wrong, I believe she did what she thought was necessary to do, for her and her children to survive. And, as I reflect on it all, I asked myself; out of all the men she has had in her life, intimately, including my late father, which one held her, not only in his arms, but also in his heart, and loved her, the way a man truly ought to love a woman? Her father made his mark in her life, but that mark for her, later, became an ugly scar. So, how could this mother have shown her children anything different from what she had shown them? How could this mother have known there is a vast difference between what is best and what is right, if she did not have a relationship with Jesus who is called Christ? The Word of God instructs a man on how to love his wife. My mother, unfortunately, did not receive this selfless love from her husband. But, as you follow her legacy, you will see, she met a Man, who loved her, way more than her husband, or any other man, ever could have...
