For Treva Thompson, fear was a ferocious force that seemed larger than anything she could conquer. It held an overwhelming grasp that bound her mind and spirit. When God's light was shed upon her fear, the darkness gradually faded. Hope and love took the place of fear and doubt. God's peace embraced her, while her lifelong fear fled. In The Fruit that Is Ripe Is Always Sweeter, Thompson shares her poetic story of longing to discover God's unwavering love. Autorenporträt
When Treva Scott Thompson was a small child, God found her. She was afraid of God because of the way the preachers talked about condemnation, guilt, and hell. Now, she knows that we have a loving Father who we can walk and talk with, and He will never forsake us. We can rely on His words the same as Jesus did, and His words never failto comfort and lead us into all truth. We need only to write His words upon our hearts and minds, and God will bring them back to our remembrance when we need them. That is one way God speaks to us.
