Tsuneo Akaha is a Professor of International Policy Studies and Director of the Center for East Asian Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies California. He is on the editorial board of the International Journal of the Asia-Pacific, and his publications include Politics and Economics in the Russian Far-East, Politics and Economics in Northeast Asia, and Japan in the Posthegemonic World.
