I have firsthand knowledge working at The Vet Center, Veterans Benefits Administration, And VA Medical Center. I have witnessed how veterans are being mistreated and neglected including myself. Many veterans wait years and some die while waiting to be eventually denied VA benefits. While working at Veterans Benefits Administration, I saw lazy Veterans Service Officers taking frequent long breaks and denying veterans to free up the workload off their desks. It took me 21 years fighting the VA Regional Office tooth and nail to get "permanent and total" status after appealing all denied claims to a judge in Washington, D.C. several times! Our veterans deserve better and that's why I wrote this book to leave a legacy behind to help those who are feeling helpless, frustrated and lost in navigating the VA and Social Security systems.

Jimmy was born in Cairo, Georgia in 1972. He is a retired veteran, author, veterans' consultant, and motivational speaker. He has received countless awards and honors. He is known for humanitarian work including supporting The Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Feeding The Hungry. Overcoming adversity, barriers, obstacles, and setbacks in life including at an early age of being placed in foster care at 6 years old and adoption at 10 years old, he has accomplished one of his biggest dreams in completing an Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree. "I don't let people define me and set limitations on my life because my vision, dreams and goals are too big than my fears and small-minded thinker. I am the captain of my ship and pilot of my plane!" Jimmy believes it's not how many times you get knocked down in life, but how many times you get back up again. That is what defines a champion, one who never quits until he wins!" Jimmy believes God had a calling and purpose on his life to encourage, uplift, and inspire people to step out on Faith, become the best you can be, step into greatness, and leave a legacy behind for the next generation. Jimmy currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia.
