Autorenporträt
The Gap is the third in what will become a four-novel series by the author, Highlander. With family roots in southern Appalachia, Highlander penned his first novel, One Wore Gray / One wore Blue, set in the period before and after the American Civil War. The second novel, The Big Road, tells the story of a family living among the coal fields of east Kentucky until economic hard times resulted in the family moving North.
