If you believe you're on the fast-track to glory because you attend church and participate in church work and ministry, Dr. Reynald J. Williams wants you to know something: you're not. Satan is a powerful enemy who loves to watch believers fall into complacency in their thinking and allow wrong habits and ideas to take root in their minds-attitudes and routines that grow into weeds, choking out faith and a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. In this powerful call for Christians to turn back to God, Williams issues a sharp wake-up call to those who have been operating in a fog of delusion, assuming they are doing the Lord's work simply by showing up to church once a week and acting as though, by giving God Sunday, they have permission to live the rest of the week as they choose. Using scripture as his foundation, Williams convicts and empowers Christians to strangle the lies planted by Satan and hold themselves to the standards laid out in the Bible, reach out to others with the good news of the gospel, and pursue faithfulness and obedience during these end times.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Reynald J. Williams has served in Christian ministry for over forty years and earned the reputation of being the "go to" preacher for many in the church. Dr. Williams is retired from the US Air Force and the US Postal Service. His experience in those cultural environments, as well as preaching, teaching, and evangelizing in numerous congregations around the world, opened his eyes to the slow demise of what a true disciple of Jesus Christ should look like.
