A love of art, photography, and film brought me to Los Angeles over thirty years ago. I moved from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Venice Beach and pursued a career in filmmaking, learning how to tell stories with pictures. In 2015, dismayed by the division surrounding me, I started my Stick Figure Wisdom series, expressing complex concepts with simple symbols. These modern-primitive pieces have shown in galleries in Los Angeles and Miami, and I was a featured artist in The Hive Gallery's Rising Stars of L.A. show in 2017. A film titled George Hobbs: Stick Figure Wisdom has won numerous Best Documentary and Best Original Song awards, and will hopefully be coming to a screen near you soon..
