The book ''le surveillant général d'établissement: immersion professionnelle contextuelle dans le secteur secondaire privé'', is a brief and succinct pedagogical essay that presents the activity and function of the general school supervisor in a specific contextual framework: the Cameroonian private secondary education sector, with the author immersing himself empirically in his school setting. The pedagogical essay has two dimensions: firstly, the scientific dimension. In this sense, the book's euristic dimension immerses us in a research project linked to the discovery of the function and posture of the school supervisor in a specific setting. The second dimension of the pedagogical essay is essentially suggestive and interpellative. Indeed, through the empirical reality portrayed throughout the book, the author, a general supervisor in a private secondary school in Cameroon, calls on the entire educational community to take greater account of the players in the private secondary education sector. And he does so by presenting some of his own misfortunes and setbacks in the suit.
