The study is about the immigrants children from African counties who experienced exclusionary pressures in one way or the other in South African schooling spaces. They also have good stories to tell about teachers who are helping them in a host country. The study recommends a need to accommodate diversity in South African education. The geographies of immigrant learners is complex since navigating in a host country is also a challenge. Some parents do like to help but their language barrier is preventing them to be actively involved in their children's education. In some cases they are just bystanders and they also depend on their children when it comes to a language in a host country.
