The book highlights some important features of the physical environment, natural resource endowment and potentials, as well as the interactions among the many different ethnic groups of the state. It also highlights efforts made towards the development of the state since its creation in 1991 and the enormity of the challenges ahead. The book is a must read for scholars in tertiary institutions, policy makers and the general public.
