Work inspired by several well-known references. This course, which I taught for five years, covers some optical elements (mirror, diopter and lens) in a fairly educational way and very rich in information, especially the first chapter, it was well studied on all levels. In the last chapters, we discuss in detail the optical aberrations and the human eye and its components. In the end, we present the various vision defects (Ametropia) and their corrections. Overall, this manuscript provides students with basic but useful information, namely the basic elements of geometric optics and allows them to acquire other knowledge in the context of more in-depth studies. I hope that this manuscript will provide valuable help not only to preparatory or university students but also to our teaching colleagues.
