This book is a journey taken to present the use of ghosts in ethnic women's novels but it also presents the long distance journey of ethnic women writers into the American literary canon. All the ethnic women writers took a similar journey, but because of the concern in "ghosts of the past" in this dissertation Morrison and Kingston have been chosen. These two writers by including fleshly ghosts in their novels opened a new path that helped us to gain a new and wider perspective about ethnic women writers and their works and the gap between the past and the present. In fact, a lot has been written about The Women Warrior and Beloved, and various interpretations have been made on these novels but every eye has a different view and every mind has a different thought. Therefore, in this dissertation new interpretations have been tried to be represented by focusing on the above issues and with the aim of opening another new small path in the study of ethnic women's literature.
