John Riha is an author and editor whose work has appeared in Esquire, GQ, Men’s Journal, House Beautiful, Popular Mechanics, and other national publications. He is the former Features Editor for Country Home magazine, Managing Editor of Traditional Home magazine, Executive Editor of Better Homes and Gardens, and Editorial Director of Meredith’s Special Interest Media—a group of 120 magazine titles and six websites. He has written seven books on remodeling and home improvement, including All About Kitchen Remodeling (Meredith), All About Decks (Meredith), and Creating Curb Appeal  (Meredith). He is the Editorial Director of RT3 Media, a content-creation service with clients that include HGTV, Discovery, AARP, Reader’s Digest, Centennial Media, and others. He and his wife live in Ashland, Oregon, and enjoy backpacking, camping, fly fishing, and backyard barbecues.
