Autorenporträt
Lucy Cooley, a graduate of Southampton University with a BA in English, is a dedicated and passionate school teacher. Balancing her role as a supply teacher, she devotes her free time to writing for children and her art work. Lucy's debut children's book showcases her boundless creativity and enchanting storytelling, drawing inspiration from her life in a quiet village. Lucy lives with her partner and her dog and she is the mother of two grown up children. Lucy was inspired to write this story when she fell in love with a photograph of her niece. She was having a photoshoot with her horse, wearing her ballet outfit and a flowing, scarlet skirt. Lucy was the English Lead in two schools and she is passionate about introducing children to a deeper and more interesting vocabulary. From her own evidence, if you expose children to the world of vocabulary, and help them to understand it, they will embrace the world of words independently and with confidence.
