Autorenporträt
A resident of Syracuse, the author has a B.A. in English from Hiram College, an M.A. in creative writing from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. from Syracuse in English and American literature. Hopes teaches literature and writing at Syracuse University and has published in Poetry Northwest, Hiram Poetry Review, and Journal of Irish Literature. In addition to teaching and writing, David Brendan Hopes has recently been acting in the theater. He has been a parks naturalist, a professional singer, and, since open-heart surgery in 1976, a long-distance runner.
