The Glass Child tells the story of a rainbow child, full of colour and excitement. She has worlds within her mind and spreads her joy with others through speaking these stories to life. A neurodiverse educator, from Toronto, Ontario, The Glass Child is Fabel Smythe's debut publication. This book was born from a collection of experiences, including those of Fabel's own childhood and those of the interactions she has witnessed in her field of work. Fabel's goal behind writing The Glass Child was to recognize the unseen wounds that many invisible children suffer and to create a space in which neurodiverse children may feel seen and heard.
