This book is the volume 1 of my INVITATION TO HOLINESS SERIES [IHS]. The choice of the title is an echo of St Alphonsus' great classic, The Glories of Mary. This book is the volume 1 of my INVITATION TO HOLINESS SERIES [IHS]. The choice of the title is an echo of St Alphonsus' great classic, The Glories of Mary. Through the work I intend to contribute to the Catholic Church's teaching and promotion of devotion to Saints, which she highly recommends according to the prescripts of canon 1186 of the Code of Canon Law. I find it more relevant to promote devotion to Saints by means of writing in our modern world filled with the bad mystery of iniquity, with the hope to lead many souls closer to God. Devotionally, the book is helpful for spiritual reading and pious relationship with the Saint. Theologically and academically, it is my personal exegesis on the personality of the Most Zealous Doctor of the Church and Patron of Moral Theologians based on the testimony of Pope Gregory XVI in his Bull of the Canonization of Saint Alphonsus Maria Liguori. Hence, the book is the fruit of my research on the Saint whom I have explained as a great lawyer, priest, Bishop, Doctor (teacher) and so on.
