Autorenporträt
Carroll Aikins (1888-1964) was born in Stanstead, Quebec. He became a prominent community member of Naramata, British Columbia, where he operated a hundred acres of farmland while also pursuing a productive career in the arts as a poet, playwright, and director. In 1920, he founded the Home Theatre in Naramata, which was celebrated as the first national theatre in Canada, and served as artistic director of Hart House Theatre (1927-29). Kailin Wright is Assistant Professor in the English Department at St. Francis Xavier University. Her research focuses on race, gender, and sexuality in Canadian literature and theatre. Her work on Canadian drama has appeared in Studies in Canadian Literature and Theatre Research in Canada. Kailin has presented at national and international conferences, and was a co-applicant of the Editing Modernism in Canada (EMiC) project.
