Stephen Mark Rainey is author of numerous novels, including BALAK, THE LEBO COVEN, DARK SHADOWS: DREAMS OF THE DARK (with Elizabeth Massie), BLUE DEVIL ISLAND, THE NIGHTMARE FRONTIER, THE MONARCHS, and others. He has also written several novels for Elizabeth Massie's Ameri-Scares series for young readers, with five entries currently in print and several more on the publication schedule. In addition, Mark's work includes six short fiction collections; approximately 200 published short stories; and the scripts to several DARK SHADOWS audio productions (from Big Finish), which feature members of the original ABC-TV series cast. For ten years, he edited the multi-award-winning DEATHREALM magazine. He has also edited the anthologies DEATHREALMS (Delirium Press), SONG OF CTHULHU (Chaosium), EVERMORE (with James Robert Smith, Arkham House), and the brand-new DEATHREALM: SPIRITS (Shortwave Publishing). Mark lives in Martinsville, VA, with his wife, Kimberly. and a passel of precocious house cats. He is an active member of the Horror Writers Association.
