Branwen has lived in the Cariboo since 1944, and in Quesnel since 1960. She has become a valuable volunteer at the local museum. Branwen is also the author of several other books about the early days of the Cariboo goldrush, including a two volume history of roadhouses entitled "Trails to Gold," a pictorial book of Cariboo history entitled "Golden Nuggets" and her first historical novel entitiled "Ruby Red & Goldrush Yellow," published by Trafford in 2003.
